2010 Day Camps
Applications are currently being accepted for a day filled with fun! Send your child on an out-of-this-world space adventure this summer! Challenger Learning Center offers day camps for young people ages 6-12 (entering grades 1-7) interested in science, having fun, and making new friends.
Space Explorers
YOU are invited to join an adventuresome crew
of mission specialists and astronauts as you
journey into space to "Voyage to Mars" or
"Rendezvous with a Comet."
Embark on a seven-month expedition to the red
planet to relieve a crew of astronauts from
their duties after two long years on Mars. Or,
investigate a comet as it streaks its way across
our galaxy. Climb aboard the spacecraft Distant
Discovery for an "out of this world" experience
unlike any other.
Whatever mission you are assigned to, we promise to fire up your imagination as you experience the thrill of our two-hour simulated space missions. Spend the rest of the day enjoying hands-on activities. Are YOU ready? Space Explorers entering grades 4-7. Sign up today!

2010 Weeklong Camp
Power Robotics
Students entering grades 5-9 will spend a week solving robotics challenges about power and electricity, fly a simulated spaceflight, and perform a pool microgravity challenge. Family members are invited to a mini-robotics tournament on Friday afternoon.

to 3 p.m.
Price: $250 (+$25 for extended hours)
Students will also receive lunch daily and a space mission t-shirt.
Camp Dates: Monday-Friday, June 21-25
Mission/Philosophy
The Challenger Learning Center at Wheeling Jesuit University offers unique and educational day camps for children ages 6-12. Campers learn in an encouraging and engaging environment where they can explore the wonders of space through fun, hands-on activities and an exciting space travel mission.
To register, simply download and complete the

Health
Form, and
Release
Form for mailing. Please register only one
camper per form. Early registration is encouraged
because camp sizes are limited. So register TODAY!
Please complete all information on the registration, health, and release forms and return these signed forms
before the camp date your child will be attending, or registration will be delayed. Payment must be provided at the time of registration in order to secure your child's place in the camp.

IMPORTANT: If you would like to register for a camp that is less than two weeks away, please

Confirmation
Once your registration is processed, you will receive confirmation notification by phone or e-mail. If you are
unable to download camp forms or if you have not received your confirmation notification, please call 304.243.8740.

Cancellations/Refunds
Cancellations must be received no later than
five working days before the camp in order to receive a full refund. No refunds will be made after a camp begins. Challenger Learning Center reserves the right to cancel any camp not meeting the minimum registration requirements. You will be notified at least one week
before the chosen camp date. You may select an alternative session date, or you may request a full refund of registration fees paid.
T-Shirts and Patches
“Return to the Moon”
t-shirts are $17, and patches are $4. You can view the designs on the registration form. All merchandise ordered will be received on the day of camp. Space items are also available at the gift shop on the camp date.
